PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy, in plain language.

1. What we collect

When you shop, subscribe or write to us, we collect the information you choose to share: your name, email address, shipping address, billing details and any notes you add to an order.

We also receive limited technical data automatically — your IP address, browser type, device, and how you move through our site — through privacy-respecting analytics.

We never collect health, biometric or financial card data ourselves; payments are handled by our PCI-compliant payment processors.

2. How we use it

To fulfil your order, deliver it to your door, and respond when you reach out to our atelier.

To send the occasional letter — only if you've asked us to. You can unsubscribe with a single click, any time.

To improve the site experience, in aggregate. We never sell your data, ever.

3. Who sees it

A small, vetted set of partners who help us run Velour: our shipping carriers, payment processor, email platform and analytics provider. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.

We disclose information to authorities only when legally required, and we will tell you whenever the law allows.

4. Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, export or delete your personal data at any time. We respond within 30 days — usually much sooner.

If you're in the EU, UK, California or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, those rights apply to you in full. Write to privacy@velour.co to exercise them.

5. Cookies & tracking

We use a minimal set of cookies: those strictly necessary to run the site, and an anonymised analytics cookie to understand which pages resonate.

You can decline non-essential cookies in our banner, or disable them entirely in your browser settings, without losing any functionality.

6. How we protect it

All data travels over encrypted connections (TLS 1.3). At rest, it's stored on servers in the EU with strict access controls and regular security audits.

If a breach were ever to occur, we'd notify you and the relevant authorities within 72 hours, as the law requires — and as our values demand.

7. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for 7 years to satisfy tax and consumer-protection law. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Everything else, no longer than necessary.

8. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy in any meaningful way, we'll email everyone on our list and post a notice on this page at least 30 days in advance.
